After a lot of searching ive found a decent stealth champ edition. Tub is in great great condition, it just has loads of tape covering the screws on the underside. Whats best for removing the residue without harming the anodising?

Have you peeled the tape yet? In other words, tape or residue are remaining?

If you haven't pulled the tape yet, use a hair dryer or heat gun, it should help remove the adhesive

If it's just the messy residue, I've used goo gone and wd-40, both work well and haven't hurt the anno on mine

No I havent peeled it yet, the buggy only arrived today.

wd-40 has always been my favorite for getting rid off adhesive from stickers and tape. aside from metal on metal, i dont know much that will pull that anodizing off aside from some oven cleaner.

Acetone or isopropyl alcohol work well for removing old sticky goo...if you've got some of course! Otherwise, WD-40 (as mentioned) works well too but it can get a bit slippery...!

I agree with others... WD40 works really well.

goo gone. pour a little over the area, use your finger to rub it in, let it sit for about 15 minutes or so, use a new razor blade to swipe away the tape residue. if it's still sticky just pour some more goo gone on a rag and rub away til it's gone. i finish it off with some rubbing alcohol.

My favorite is electric motor spray. Works very fast and won't hurt the finish at all!

Automotive wax and grease remover is the best all around adhesive remover, and also a very good cleaner/degreaser. The good thing about it is that it its highly inert so it doesn't hurt finishes or plastic (I wouldn't soak anything in it), the bad part is the fumes are pretty strong. Most auto parts stores have it, the Klean Strip brand calls it Prep-All.

Another good degreaser adhesive remover is paint thinner. I use it to remove goo and degrease the nylon parts.

yup same here, find a flat plate, spray some WD40 liberally on it, put the tub on, spray a bit more, after 24hrs the residue just goes off with a light rub with your fingertips (not even the nails)

I just have some automotive brake cleaner that I use... takes of just about everything but the anodizing and the stuff I have is safe for the nylon as well. 24 hours with a lubricating oil to remove what the brake cleaner takes off in seconds? Not going to bother
