what's your background
Hi all, would anyone care to share some of your backgrounds? I'm a first generation Canadian, born in Toronto Ontario, Canada. My Father was born in Algarve Portugal, my Mom was born in St Paulo brazil, raised mostly by my Grand parents, and can speak in both languages. Anyways just asking

I thought this was going to refer to computer wallpaper, no joke! Anyway, whatever mine is, it's probably not nearly that interesting...

Derailed on just the second post, continuing here. I have a shot of my brushless V hull boat flying through the wake on the desktop.THEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote:I thought this was going to refer to computer wallpaper, no joke!
Fifth or sixth gen Canadian here, I am sure that I have some long gone relatives that came over on a boat from western Europe somewhere. UK, Ireland somewhere around there.

My great grandmother was full-blooded Cherokee, but other than that I'd guess white, white, white, white...

Re: what's your background
Weird! That's not too far off from my mix. My grandpa on my mom's side was full-blooded Irish, and my grandma was half Danish and half Swiss. On my dad's side, it's mostly Cornish and Welsh (we have genealogist nerds in the family that can trace us back to a boat that came over in the 1650s), with German, French, and Blackfoot inter-mixed along the way.vwjuice wrote:I come from a loose family. That's crazy. And we both live in the Portland area. Hahamarkbt73 wrote:Weird! That's not too far off from my mix. I am 100% Portlandish
Lol
I have a little Russian, German, and Swedish in me but so far removed from all of them (and so bad at geography) I couldn't find most on a map...a map with labels even!

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas
