"Bought a house? Get all your R/C stuff out of mine.."
A few words my Dad said after I told him we bought a house. That was 15 years ago. I did get the stuff out, and then sold off of my Losi electrics on Ebay (hopefully a member picked it up,was full of decent Jrxt bits). The only thing i kept was a RC10GT that i assembled and then promptly destroyed it head on into a curb when i was 16 ( who knew the disc brake set up was needed on a test run?) Anyway, off it went into the parents attic for a few years until the move. About 6 years ago when my wife was about to give birth to our a first child, I decided one last go at my youth before the baby came. Did some research and purchased a replacement chassis for the bent up black one, it was blue, looked like it would be a direct replacement and it was. (I don't see too many blue tub GT's....) Bolted it up, found my radio, learned batteries don't last 10-15 years in them, so off to Ebay to find an old school Futaba. But why just buy a used one and be done? Why when you can buy an almost identical GT on Ebay with everything i need? So I have 2 now.
Great site, and damn, do you all know your stuff!

Nice pair of GTs. One of my favorite cars and always like hearing when another fan gets them going or restores one.

Thanks for the comments. Been a while since I could log back on. I had the blue-tub out a few times in June and broke a front arm. So I decided to tear it down for a cleaning and to find a replacement. Still trying to find the time to get one out again. My kids love them, so I'm sure soon.

Good looking early GT. The blue tub is a Factory Team tub, and they often go for more than complete trucks when NIP.
I'm warning you, though, two is only the beginning. I have 5 GTs and a GT2, and I'm still seeking!
There are basically 4 versions of the GT:
-Early black tub, white plastics
-Late black tup, black platics
-RTR Blue flat chassis
-Factory Team & RTR Plus flat chassis
The GT2 is not another variant, but a completely different truck

Listen well to Sixtysixdeuce's warning...Sixtysixdeuce wrote: "I'm warning you, though, two is only the beginning. I have 5 GTs and a GT2, and I'm still seeking!"
I think i have this sickness...
5 GT's here as well...be careful of the DS....they are so similar that you will find yourself collecting those as well.
5 GT's now have 3 nitro ds's and 3 electric ds little brothers running around as well.
It's just one big happy associated family.
Oh the humanity!!!

If only I had a dollar for every time I heard that during my time in prison...

Its dangerous!...I only had 3 nitro DS's and 3 electric DS's when i posted that.
Now its like 7 finished nitro and 5 finished electric not to mention about 8 more that need work and one new in box nitro kit...
With that said...go vote for your favorite DS car in the Build Of The Year thread
