steering rack options missing a part can it be found?
steering rack options missing a part can it be found?
I've been building three extra runners to try to get my rc buddies hooked on the rc10s. I'm having some trouble with the steering rack on one car. I have the houge bellcranks but I'm missing the small threaded adapters that go into the bearing can I still buy these?
Are there better economical solutions for the steering. Just won on eBay a worlds ball bearing rack complete for one car. Need two more setups I don't want them to drive them once and break the stock rack so I need a strong solution.
Thanks

A&L have their rack system available again, so that's one solution.
the houge parts are not available except to buy used, or get someone to make them for you.(shoot me a PM about that).
there are a few things that are available, and plenty of stuff you can search on here in the forums. here is one example:

Read through the link there is a few good ideas listed in it. I am using Traxxas parts and they seem to work well and the parts are cheap and easy to find. There is also one using all current AE parts but they are all black.

I have used the Traxxas #2543 bell cranks for a few builds so far and I like them a lot. I bought a couple thin walled 3/16 od tubes and cut it to length. You can use left over bushings or bearings.
I used them on the black and blue car I built a little while back. I had dyed them black:

They work very well and it's a cheap setup, it can be built for $10!!
