Re: Check out these new Losi chassis screws
I posted up that same basic rant a while back. You'd think they would at least not call them aluminum

I remember the screws being black, but this is 12 years later- OK I can accept "raw" aluminum even tho the pic shows black. Here they are......
Wow...they look OK but very shiney. Heavy too. Hmmmm a little test......
Yup they are STEEL. Damnit. Losi lies. You'd expect them to at least change the label

Did you contact Horizon about this? I did, hopefully they will get it changed. I will give them a little bit and then try another contact to see if they can get things corrected.

Re: Check out these new Losi chassis screws
I was annoyed with a set of stainless steel screw sets I bought off Ebay. The 8-32 screws don't countersink 100% because they have the slightest "sidewall" to the head of the screw. Similar to the ones in the tops picture. Luckily I found a couple packages of old aluminum screws in an old tacklebox I used to use when I raced.
I really wanted to use stainless. The rest of the screws are great, just cant use the 8-32's.
