does that car have hard anodized shocks or blue ones? What is the serial number on the motor plate?

Very Nice.....I would venture that a NIB TRX-1 is pretty hard to find. I don't think I'd build that particular one, and maybe find a used one to rebuild, but that's just me. I dunno, it's a tough call.

It came with the hard anodized shocks with the blue shock caps. Not sure on the serial number, I will have to dig it out of the closet sometime and let you know.

Nice!!!! :) I used to like the TRX-3 best, but the more I see TRX-1s the more I like them over the TRX-3. It is the simplicity that does it, the chassis is just so clean and simple!

It is interesting that by those dimensions at 251mm width (or even worse track width, which means actual width is even greater!) the TRX-1 would not be legal according to British rules (BRCA) where the overall width has to be 250mm.

That box has the World's Car sticker on it. Those came with the hard anodized bodies, among other things.

Nice kit! I had one waaaaay back in the day.
If you don't want to build it, send it to me- I'll build it and send it back

Always worth a try. Bitd I charged people to build their cars, now a days you can barely buy one as a kit

Ooh La La

I love the TRX-1. In my own opinion the coolest of any Traxxas buggy ever made.

When these hit the market it seemed like the RC10 and LOSI JRX cars had some real competition. I gladly still own a new built car.

Very nice find mate

The TRX-1 was at one time called the rc-10 killer. Now who raced it and when I don't have a clue.

I guess we need to know what the release date was. Can any body chime in with this?

If I remember correctly Scott Montgomery raced the TRX-1 at the 1991 worlds in Detroit. More info can be found here.

^ Dang, nice find. I wish I could have a NIB TRX-1. Such a cool car. I loved running mine. Nobody at my local raceway had one. I embarrassed a few guys in the mod class with 10's, and Losi's.

It drove similar to my Jrx Pro, but seemed a lot more forgiving. I loved it, rode like a Cadillac with those shocks.
