I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but how are you gents gearing your Goldies if you're running a 17.5T sensored motor with stealth tranny. I just need a ballpark. Currently, I'm running nimh and Gens Ace 30C batteries, HK 35A sensored ESC and Leopard 17.5T sensored motor. Thanks in advance guys.

Joel, I am assuming blinky, and a bit of the gearing depends upon the track. I run a bigger indoor track (well big for our area) and I am at 30/69.

Start a little lower than that (maybe 28/72 range) and run 3~4 minutes, check temps. Keep it under or at 150 (under is better). Check the speedo/capacitors (if your speedo has 'em) and battery as well. Those items should never get that high, maybe 120-130 range and start worrying.

remember for gearing, 3 on the spur = 1 on the pinion. So moving from a 66 to a 69 = 1 tooth pinion, 69 to 72 = 1 tooth...

Dont have a 28? Do the match and figure out what Spur you need to match it. It is interchangeable.
