Interesting!

HAs Icarus front wheels on it.....plus another couple of differences?

Is that the shell you were telling me about last night mate? If so - its not a kyosho "Beetle" shell........ Still is a bit of a looker though! 8)

The body thats on this chassis now was included on the RC10 CE I got from Toymaker73.This is the body Im thinking of running on this car.As for the original Scorpion Beetle body I will get a picture up soon.Im dead keen on getting some alloy whels mounted up on all four corners so these wont stay on for long.

good luck oin finding a set of aluminum wheels. The rear hubs are a pressure fit. The front uses a 4X8mm metric bearing

I know that Sees alum wheels for Kyosho are pressure fit. The only problem is, you never see them. You might be able to go the hex Kyosho route, but the axle length maybe a problem. I can't remember for sure, but I want to say that early Kyosho pressure fit axles are shorter than the later verisons. Another alternative, you could use a set of CRP hubs for the Scorpion that were made to use Tamiya (SRB) wheels. The only issue there would be finding a set of wheels that would work with the pin presseed in the CRP hub.

Looks good there. The body is specifically the Kamtec oval window body
http://www.kamtec.co.uk/products.php?Prod_ID=23&prod_cat=2
originally designed for the M chassis Beetle, not the kamtec Baja shell.

Axles are easy. The Scorpion uses unique 6mm flanged bearings on the axles, tapering down for the rest of the axle. The friction drive washer means wheels made for the SRBs would also fit on the axles. the easy part is replacing the axles, the hub in the swing arms is narrow enough for any metric from Kyosho or Tamiya axle to fit no problem so you can use hex drives on the rear, but you will need a set of flanged 5 x 10mm bearings for them.
