A tube chassis and some bespoke electrics. This will be cool and will no doubt be an awesome model for customisation. Nice one Traxxas! 8)

"TQi 2.4GHz Intelligent Transmitter
The World’s Most Advanced Radio System
The Traxxas NHRA Funny Car is equipped with the TQi,™ the world’s most advanced Ready-To-Race® radio system. The radio system is the sole connection between the driver and machine and the all-new Traxxas TQi has been engineered to be precise, comfortable, powerful, and reliable. The TQi radio system arrives with a full complement of tuning features including steering and throttle sensitivity; steering percentage; braking strength; servo end points, and more. The unique 4-channel transmitter allows you to select Burnout, Staging, and Race Modes. When you’re ready to pull the trigger and race, the Launch Control switch lets you hold full throttle and flip the switch to launch. Use the multi-function knob to dial in the ET-3S speed control’s torque settings for the quickest launches. Tune for temperature and track conditions just like the pro’s. The TQi’s long-range, high-output, 2.4GHz signal combines with proven Traxxas reliability for rock-solid performance. It’s so advanced, it doesn’t even need an external antenna."

bad part is that the radio is also a lil too complicated for that target audience. Traxxas is heading back to the am radio route for quite a few of their models...

I was wondering - Does traxxas have a financial stake in RCCA? I know one of the former "reporters" went to work as Marketing or PR boss for traxxas or something like this.... but given the amount of infomercials from RCCA that relate to traxxas and their overall bias, this cannot just be a "normal" advertising program...

Anyone in the know?

I hope they issue a classic body series for this thing...how freakin' cool would a 70's 'Cuda & Duster look side by side...with the Hotwheels sponsored Snake & Mongoose theme?
