Brushless conversion for an old 1/10 nitro car?

Post by EvolutionRevolution »

Anyone know of a brushless conversion set that I could use to convert an old Kyosho GP-10 to electric? Most nitro car conversion sets seem to be geared towards absolutely bulletproof transmissions that can transmit tons of power, but the GP-10 I want to use has two small belts from which the offset main shaft drives the gearboxes.

At most the car will be powered by a 3S lipo.

I would look at different touring car set-ups. I think a TC4 or TC5 motor mount may be modified to fit. That's what I did to my old GT. A 3s would probably be too much though. A 2s would be a lot less abusive on the drivetrain. Just one idea.
