Using Stealth Diff Halves In A&L Lethal Weapon

Post by LTO_Dave »

I figured I'd start this thread to help people with their LW tranny.

These pics and info were sent to me through e-mails from Daryl of Factory Works after I ordered a Lethal Weapon tranny kit without the proper diff halves because they're no longer available.

It requires a 1/8" ID X .160" (5mm) OD X .115" long tube spacer. This lets the LW's diff ride on the Stealth's 1/8" center diff shaft.

I was lucky enough to find some brass pieces in an old parts box that fit perfectly for my 10T shelfer with a LW tranny.

now i just need to find a spacer, any idea where yours came from?
i think the diff in the picture is missing a few balls. although i have done that a few times in my oval rides to save on weight run 6 instead of 12.

I honestly have no idea what it's for. I got a small parts box in an ebay lot a few years ago and it was in there. Daryl said he might machine some spacers, but I've never asked him if he's had time to.

It's a 5mm x 11mm x 3mm unflanged bearing. The instructions say it's special for this gear.

The magical piece would be a 1/8" x 11mm x 3mm bearing, which I haven't been able to find yet.

ugh....11mm. yeah it's not a common bearing. 11mm is really close to 7/16", so if you could find a cheap 1/8" x7/16" bearing it might also work.

that brass sleeve sorta reminds me of a piece for tamiya cars and trucks; a shock end bushing.
