Yokomo 91 works arrived

Post by caesar »

Howdy all,

I purchased a Works 91, which has just arrived :D . Car seems to be in great condition and just needs a good clean. I need to finish my Losi first before starting on this but will show update pics in here when I get around to it.

Looks like a real peach :D good find.

I see it has Associated Gold shocks, that's what I'm going to fit on my Works 91, have a donor B3 ready!! Hopefully mine will look as nice as yours eventually.

Thanks sheriff.

I'm going to remove those shocks. I want something black, I got the original shocks with it but not sure yet how good they are, also putting original shock towers back on and have already purchased some pink wheels from ebay. From the pics it appears that the top carbon fibre plate has a crack near the motor mount but upon closer inspection just seems to be a blemish, might try and smooth it out with some mat black paint.

Car is in real good nic, all I think I need to do is clean, wire brush some surface rust from screws and Install new body/decals.

Youre most welcome, yes please do take care of her i already miss my 1st yokomo.

Yeah youre right its just a blemish from the body i think so but no cracks.

Its good if you will put back all the original towers, shocks and a pair of new pink wheels on it that's cool :D

I couldn't wait until I finished my Losi. My wife took my son and newborn daughter to the in-laws for the night, so out come the yok, stripped all the tie-rod/turnbuckles and anything else that was easily dismantled. soaked it all in degreaser. The original shocks that I got with the car needed some attention, touched up the black paint and transferred components from the gold shocks, anything metal was wire brushed. Shock towers removed and gave the car a good once over.

All components installed, including original towers and shocks. Just need my pink wheels to arrive. I can't take pics yet as the wife has the camera in her bag.

Cheers

Rob
