Project Golden Rod

Post by Mindwarp »

Ok, here's my current build. After being on these forums for some time now, I think it's high time I actually post a build! This is also my first attempt with an air brush and something more complicated than a straight line

It's going to be a runner and still needs a few small parts and the wing mounted but should be running by the week-end.

For lack of a better name, I call it the Golden Rod.

Looks good mate. Are you gonna run it?

Thanks! The name came from a mix of lack of imagination and my hay fever! Yes, this will be a runner. If I build something, I'm going to run it!

You guys are bad

The car has some nice goodies on it, most of which were bought on this forum. I'm really looking forward to running this car to see how it handles.

It needs A&L stiffeners to match the paint job... and strengthen the rod

Looking good. Can you tell us what body that is? I saw your car in another thread the other day, and was waiting for your build thread to inquire. At first it looked like a XXX body of some sort, but Im now guessing its a TBG Stealth. Am I right?

Yes, it's the TBG Stealth. I'm trying to mount it as low as I can so it has a thinner profile.

Sweet paint job. So how did it turn out, did it run good?

Thanks! It hasn't run yet  I just picked up a pinion gear for it today so I'm hoping to get some run time with it soon.
