So I haven't tried to completely redo everything but my hardcase lipos don't fit into the battery area.

Has anyone solved this dilemna?

I ended up buying a couple softcase lipos that fit perfectly. 2S 4400 30C lipos.

what kind of lipos are you using, the stick-shaped ones a la Orion rocket Pack, or the "square" ones?

These are the ones I bought for my optimas.

The only other option would be to the hardcase from what I've found (I have 3 different hardcase lipos)

Scott, I'm eventually going LiPo with my non-Mid Optimas. Those have the triangular battery brackets under the radio plate that are designed to fit rounded stick-packs. Have you found a LiPo (preferably hard-case) to fit?

+1 on the Orion packs. I think they go up to 3600mah.
Basically, any car that old skool cells will fit into, these will too.

your best bet would be to just change your lower chassis to the composite craft or maybe the sassy chassy then you can use a saddle pack set up

You could always raise the top deck by 1.5mm and that shoulg give you more room to play with. Ive done that with the zxr so i can add brass weights under the lipos.

unfortunately, not - they are about 1/10" longer than a true period sub-c stick pack. They will fit in MOST cars, but not all, plus you have to make sure the tubes are accessible...

The orion "rocket pack" sticks at least have the wires exiting properly ;)

For comparison
Using Orion lipo 3200 you still have space to put foam/insert to protect the battery from battery holder during rough ride.

On the other hand Orion lipo 3600 fit nicely, but space for insert will be minimal.

my apologies for the pics no time to downsize/edit as my photo editor was expired :(

mmmh... in my memories the Orion 3200 didn't have a red sticker... or did it?
