My Yokomo flea market find

This weekend out at a local flea market i scored on a Yokomo RPS YZ834B. It doesn't look to be used much at all. The seller at the flea said it's ready to run. We couldn't try it out though cause the transmitter had no batteries and the batteries in another transmitter were almost dead. Plus the main battery pack that could power the was selling with the frog on the table. All of these dealbreaker issues used to bring down the asking price. In the end a loan from a friend and what I had in my pocket was able to purchase it.

Wow, great flea markets you have! I walked around all day at a 4X4 swap meet this Sunday and after seeing maybe twenty beat up Slashes and other crusty trucks being offered at almost new prices, the only thing I found worth anything was an original Kyosho Ultima that some had just purchased before I saw it.
Great score! I tried like hell to get this beat up RPS from a guy in California for like two weeks. He finally stopped e-mailing me after he figured out from all the e-mail he got that it might be worth something..

Looks like a good deal. I have never really been a fan of these cars but if I ever run across one at a decent price I will definately snatch it up. There have been several great 834B builds here.

I just found a B2 in mint condition... guy wants 110 bucks for everything... about 45 minutes from me. A guy about 2 blocks north of me has a Sonic Fighter with almost mint 1.7 gold wheels and tires... body is tweaked a bit and the drivers head is missing..but he wants 35 bucks for it. We do have good stuff.

Detroit (well in the Metro area) was the last placed I lived that had anything good pop up every now and then. Huntsville and Greenville, forget it. And the LHS are much to speak of either (not referencing vintage parts).

I've been very lucky at this flea market in the past. I remeber getting a $35 superchamp and a few more good cars and trucks. flea markets are crazy just by the amount of ecclectic stuff thats grouped together. the seller I got this 834 from mainly sells pots and pans

To be honest, I have lost my drive to even look anymore. I am sure the stuff is out there, but it's getting thinner and thinner.
