best lipo saddle for 870c
was speaking with a good mate today and the subject came up, we both use ip branded lipo's and have had the problem with pack's swelling up and splitting. we are wondering how to stop this and also what is a brand of saddle that slot's straight into 870c chassis, without need for a mount! are there any with the ridges on the bottom like stick lipo's?

I asked the same question in my build thread and Jason came back with ip4200

As for swelling and cracking well that could be a number of things, fault with the pack, wrong storage proceedures, wrong charging proceedures, out of balance pack. If you're storing at the correct temp and voltage and your charging with an applicable lipo charger at the correct amps and checking the balance regularly then that points to faulty packs however I know many running ip cells without issue.

yeah we have also spoken about the ip4200, i have only had one pack come apart personally but the word getting around is that it's quite common for ip. i always charge back up to around 60% before storage. as for a saddle pack something must slot straight in without a need for a mount set-up.

Re: best lipo saddle for 870c
They would be a great choice but $150 a set is a lot for bumps

Re: best lipo saddle for 870c

$40 for a saddle lipo is pretty good in my opinion. now i haven't used their lipos yet, but their nimh pack worked very well.

Re: best lipo saddle for 870c
They look great value Scr8p.
I think I'm going to give these a shot

I've had great service out of my gold bricks and many a flight power pack so I think as a medium priced set of saddles they have to be worth a go.
