Shock cap seals

Post by Caine »

I know you can buy these in packs of four quite cheaply but is there anywhere you guys know of that they can be purchased in bulk, say 20 or so?

i picked up a 1mm x 12mm? oring from mcmaster-carr that seems to be a good replacement. I can't remember the exact size, I'll double check when I get home and let you know.

I think 100 of 'em was less than 5 bucks (plus like 5 shipping, but I always order a bunch of stuff, so my shipping gets distributed through a bunch of things)

yeah, you have to be able to do a simple internet search and find a number of places that can sell you metric o-rings

yeah, i think that was right. I measured the OD as around 11.5, so it's probably a 12mm, and the thickness was 1mm.

I think they had the x-ring shaft seals also. Ive seen them mentioned on different boards as a replacement for the AE seals that seem to leak alot.
