This is my latest grab, it started as a RC10T2 Sport and it came with a MIP converter tranny for another project. This is going to be a runner and I am adding some modern parts to it for the fun and test of it.
BEFORE:

It is mainly stock, added bearings and some Lunsford Ti.
In the transmission I replace the original black ideal gear with a new one and I replace the slipper clutch system with an SC10 new slipper (I am using the old parts for a shelf car I am planning on). I am also using B4 rear CVD axles, LC ball cups and T4 front steering block carrier assembly making the truck a bit wider than original.

That is some strong flash on the cam.

The truck was in great conditions, It has some scratches but It looks like it was ran and never really taken apart after that. I think that this helps keep the parts in better conditions for a re-built.

- The rebuilding of the transmission

- SC10 slipper with top shaft

- Remember to add the T2 spacers in the inside to the sc10 top shaft.

- I cut the front nose plate and I am making a custom bumper for it

- JConcepts ball cups

- sc10 front parts

I am rebuilding the shocks; they have the older round cap seals that I am re-using on another project.

I am looking for some new white Pro-Line rear wheels and bar codes rubber and I am planning on using a T3 Pro-line crowd pleazer body, I always love that body but never got one until now.
:D

Pro-line crowd pleazer Body for T3, not sure on the fit yet and I need to add some spacers to the body mounts to bring it up a bit.

Looks great! I just picked a NIB one up recently and once I get done savoring the parts all shiny in their little baggies (I've never really built an RC car from new), I'm going to build it into a runner as well (although I have this warped idea floating around in my head of building it into a big ridiculous buggy.... That said, I like the way that body looks on it. Can't wait to see it painted.

Update:

Got some Losi rubber and pro-line wheels and kind of located and marked the body location. I am liking this but I wander if I should try one of the newer modern T4 bodies like the JC one and save this one for when I get a T3 ( I plan to run this one).

I used Duratrax servo mount I had to extend the rear body post location.

Mig, the JC Highflow is a direct fit if you use the B4 wingmounts in the rear bodymount locations-

You'll love that as a runner, don't be afraid to use the Robinson Alloy diff gear and hardened idler in it

I like the JC Highflow so I think I am getting one, or go with one of the other like the ponisher...

Love it! Looks great. My favorite ride for sure, and likely have invested too much in mine 8) =/

What SC10 parts are you using up front??? The castor block, the knuckle or both? Any modification needed?

Thanks!

I only use them because I had a short rod and these work well with it… The real upgrade is when you use them on the rear of a B44 because it helps clear the inside of the rear wheel during jumps and rough terrain driving.

hey there, great pics and write-up so far... i'm in the process of restoring a RC10t2 myself and have a couple questions i'm hoping you could help with...

1. what are you going to do for power? i'm thinking of dropping my velineon in it... any suggestions for pinion gear???
2. for the jconcepts ball cups, what length tie-rods did you use in the rear? it looks way shorter than stock (due to the longer length rear cups).

keep us updated on your build! thank you!

Looks great!

Nice ribs up front. Anyone ever try holeahot T's or similar front and rear?
