Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ Kit Exclusive Edition
That looks GREAT! Are those solid wheels, or just the wheel covers? They look really nice. Did it take long to receive them?
Thanks,
Steve

That looks awesome!
I bet you got those wheel covers from the same seller I got mine from.
I've got a set of the Centerline style for my Ultima (w/Proline Rough Rider wheels) & a solid style Sand Scorcher set for my Dune Buggy project.
The quality is outstanding for the money.
Considering where they came from, the shipping was pretty reasonable too.
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...

Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ Kit Exclusive Edition
here you go I found the link. I bought these for my Sand Scorcher and emailed him and asked if he had the Buggy Champ ones. he said buy another set of these and put a note in that I want the BC ones. they are beter than the SS ones.

There was also another seller that made a fantastic set of 1 piece BC/RR wheels, but I haven't seen them on the 'bay in awhile. I wanted to get a set of those, but by the time I acually got a Sand Scorcher, he stopped producing them..
He also made a killer set of 2.2" Jelly Bean style RC10 wheels.
I think it was "Paragu2000" (or something like that)

Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ Kit Exclusive Edition
I added a Sand Scorcher Exhaust pipe, I always felt these and the Wild one should have had them what do you guys think. well I am going to put about 5 coats of Automotive clear on the body to make it shiny and tough.

Tumbs up on the exhaust. Many of these buggys used the same boxer engine the the bugs used. Looks authentic.

Thank you I like it to. I put some automotive clear on it. when it dries tomorrow I will give it a good wet sand and buff it up to a shine. and it will keep all the decals from pealing up. I also put in my Ball diff today I havent ran it yet I will let everyone know how it does. in a few days, after the paint dries.

Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ Kit Exclusive Edition
She spent Sunday at the beach and we had a blast. my camera has a problem out in the sun it doesnt like taking pic's in the bright light. sorry for the horrible pic's. I will have better ones next time.
as for the Ball diff seems to make the car take off a lot smoother, the rear end isnt all over the place. it eliminated the fishtailing. I dont know if that was a good thing? but thats about all I can say.
on another note I beleive the waterproof box is on the way out. I love this car but what were they thinking with the battery placement? I ended up ziptyeing a battery through the body so I could run alot longer.
