It looks like those paddles actually hook up pretty good! :D

I need to get my SS finished...it's been on the shelf almost a year.

(too many projects..)

Your Buggy Champ looks great!

It's inspired me to get back in gear...now if the weather and my schedule will just co-operate.....
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...

Yes it Ran great with them, I had the buggy champ tires and it wouldn't go very fast and it melted down the battery from the drag. I switched batterys and put on the paddles it really picked up and went great as you can see by the rooster tail.

Wow its been along time since I updated this thread  well its been a long time since Ive had my Buggy Champ out of the repair shop. A few summers ago I was running my Buggy Champ down in Va. Beach with my son in law. we were both blasting up the beach towards each other and we hit head on. he was driveing a Losi Desert Truck. thank God the crash wasnt as bad as first though. just lost the servo and broke the body up some. but some how while I was working on it the next thing I new it was all apart. I hated the radio box as cool as the waterproof box idea was, the servo set up and lack of battery room was driveing me crazy. I couldnt run my lipo stick pack. So I decided to make a few changes. I found a deal from a great member on here for a copy of a butterfly CRP chassis plate ( I think). I wanted to move things around some so I grabed some ASC battery cups, and a plastic bathroom sign from Lowes and went to work makeing a new radio plate. I ditched the factory servo saver inlew of a regular one and some solid ASC servo mounts, still need some better tierods. I also upgraded the motor to a Tamiya Sport tuned. I was reading RC Car Action a few days ago and see a lot of the new Brushless ESC's are now waterproof, so I am thinking of starting over again and getting a waterproof srevo and brushless set up for it. and maybe a smaller lipo. also put on some new wheels

in the next few months I see some new paint and details like a scale motor and the stinger pipe I already have for it, all need to be put on. some working lights and I am going to try my hand at building a new custom front bumper, I want to start building more scale stuff

I have been working on my Sand Scorcher also. its new never have finished the body. I started to do a box art buggy but I couldnt finish it I was getting board. so it has set on the shelf for over a year and a half. well I got it out and I orderd a Knight Customs motor foir it and I built some inner fernder wells a interior card and back fire wall. I think it will look cool all painted up. heres some crappy cell phone pic's of what I am doing

I just got a email that my motor got shipped early I am so happy I cant wait till it gets here so I can finish up the fire wall and start painting.

Looks really good so far. The centerline looking wheels set it off. What color are you going with?

I am thinking of somethin orange not sure so far. I dont want box art. I have been looking all over the internet for reference pictures. the real bugs that were raced were kinda plain nothing fancy at all.

well my motor just arrived a quick test fit. I had to remove some of the back panel for the airfilter to fit, I may end up removeing the whole panel befor its done. I didnd bob the rear fenders because I have a lighting kit on the way, I wanted all the lights to work. and will also have to cut the exhaust alot to get it in the cage. also picked up one of his front bumpers just to see how it would look.

I like it. :D

If it were me, I'd cut the deck lid out....

I LOVE the Shapeways stuff...I wish I could make that motor fit on the rear of my Triumph trans'd Baja & Dune Buggy projects.
