Lexan Dilemas.

Post by CAT3K »

I've been digging around my parts boxes and found a couple of vintage new shells.

At first i thought, yeah i'll paint these up. But now i can't seem to find the will to break the bags open. It seems such a shame, especially as i might never be able to find another brand new one.

And there's the fact that i'm such a crappy painter and wouldn't do them justice.

Do you guys ever have the same dilema?

One is for the Cat 3000, the the other is the full body set for the original Cougar including the wing and end plates.

The Cougar 1 shells with that header don't have the original 1990 rear wing. Schumacher used the same shell but with a different wing for the Cougar Club10. Both the CAT 3000 and Cougar 1 shells are still available from Schumacher direct although not in stock at the moment. Neither are rare (or vintage) so I say go for it, break open the bags and paint 'em. If you're worried about messing the paint up then go for a simple 2 colour spray can scheme using some good quality masking tape.
