GRAPHITE PARTS, HOME MADE

Post by Jerzi »

What is an good price for homemade (100% hand made) graphite parts for rc-10.
Shock towers (front and rear) and chassis that you have to use the original tube chassis front end.
I have done lots of parts for rc-cars some time ago and I think I`ll start to do some more.
But please help me with the price so I can calcuate if it is to some good for me to start make them again and do rc-fanns happy.
I can make parts from 2.5mm and 3mm good quality graphite.

Not knowing the quality of of work you can provide or what type of material you're using (Don't take this as a personal stab, just saying I haven't seen what you're offering, or what you're making it out of) makes it a little hard to put a price out there. Just for reference though Atlas, a forum member here, makes a really nice worlds rear tower and a .89 front tower from bidirectional carbon for 17.50 per tower, as well as a stealth rear brace for 8.50 I think? His parts are very nice finish (I own a couple sets) and cut on a cnc router so they are very consistent.

Having said that, post up some pics of some of your work, members are always looking for something different or for parts that serve a unique need. There have been a couple members that have made some very nice hand made G-10, graphite, and carbon parts that people have definitely drooled over.

As stated earlier, it depends on the craftsmanship. The best way to do this is make your own stuff, then when people see what you have made they will start asking you about them.

Go ahead and post up some pic of your work.
