BoLink's 55 Chevy advertisment body
Here is the painted 55 Chevy body BoLink used in all of the advertisements for it. I've had it tucked away for a number of years now and decided to take it out to snap some pics. It was painted by Motion Graphics who reached a level of fame during their run.
Pictures aren't the best as it was getting dark out but you get the idea. It doesn't show up well but the windows are a translucent turquoise color.

He WAS Motion Graphics. One-man show, like all paint shops.drbelleville wrote:Wasn't Richard Muise part of their paint crew?
He was very good technically, but lacked a lot of the artistic talent that other painters had at the time.

Man, that's a sweet paint job, evokes memories of the real hot rods of that era. I have a '57 Chevy body--I believe it was from Parma, but could've been BoLink--from 25-ish years ago that I've never painted. This makes me want to paint it finally!

Motion Graphics did a lot of the designs for racers in California. I ended up doing quite a few of them for racers who wanted to have them done locally after moving to Florida from Cali.

Soon after I posted these pictures I ended up selling the body. I didn't necessarily want to but I was never going to do anything with it because I couldn't bring myself to put holes in it. I rather see it be mounted and enjoyed then to keep it tucked away for any longer never to see the light of day. You know what I mean?
On the Plus side I now have a Motion Graphics painted Futaba FXT stadium truck body.

Re: BoLink's 55 Chevy advertisment body
For a while there in the early 90's I feel like every other paint job in RCCA was a Motion Graphics body.
I mean, growing up in Western NY, that was the only paint guy I knew off the top my head, all from his exposure in that magazine. And I never knew that Andy's bodies were actually painted by a single person named Andy! I just thought it was the name of a company.
