Is it "Rare" or just "old"?
Is it "Rare" or just "old"?
I was tooling through ebay and saw.......

.......and was thinking..... is this a rare buggy now or is it just old? I always loved the SE, but I have never really thought of it as rare.

I'm not up on my Losi knowledge but as far as R/C auctions go if you're listing something thats vintage you also have to include the word rare in it as well.

The Pro SE is the production car before the XX.
Not so rare, but the price sounds cool, depends of the real condition of the car.

they were expensive when new and are under valued! i picked up a new built for 150.00! still a nice car for 99 dollars in my opinion. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

I saw that one and thought nice car as well for that price. Looking closely though at pics there are some odd discolorations it seems on top of chassis maybe or could be photo, either way I think it would be a good buy.
Re: Is it "Rare" or just "old"?
I don't think "rare" applies in theis case any more than you could call a run of the mill rc10 "rare". Finding one now in pristine condition is definitely much more rare. The more important question to ask yourself is, "Do I want it?" ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Rare? No. Collectible? Definitely. On the other hand, calling that one "mint" is a bigger stretch than calling it "rare".![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

I didn't think it was all that rare. Solves that. It is in nice shape though for that price and free shipping. I wish it had the original body though.
