I picked one of these up off ebay with the intent of putting it on my buggy, but it appears different than the regular stealth, it is layed down like? Are the internals the same and can they be swapped?

What did I get here?

the gt trans uses a layed down arrangement due to the nitro engine. Someone here built a sweet mid motor car using that trans and a custom motor mount. I tried to find it the other day but wasn't having much luck.....

Learn something new everyday. I wonder are the internals the same, so if I had a regular stealth case I could swap?

Though a custom mid engine sounds cool to.

The GT diff is the large B2/T2 sized diff, not compatible with the original Stealth casing. The top shaft, slipper and bearings will swap over though.

OK thanks for the info, if anyone has a link to the custom mid engine car using this trans even better.

I believe you are right. I think it was Ford...drawing a blank right now even though I've bought a ton of stuff from him. Would've been in this part of the forum within the last 6 months...damn it I hate when I have a name just outta my grasp :?

AHA...PBR Allstar (Ford) is the one that did that custom oval with the gt tranny that I'm thinkin of. Its on page 5 of the 'Spring RC10Talk RC10T Competition!' thread in this part of the forum...I can't seem to search it then put the link in here...keeps showin up as the search even though its on the thread.
