New to Forum's - My completed rebuild!

Post by Jman115 »

Hello, Just finished rebuilding my B stamped gold pan and wanted to post some pics. It has some new parts in it as that I broke some a long time ago and had to upgrade but majority is stock. I didnt realize how popular these cars would still be! Glad I found this site! I use mine for running around on the street and dirt tracks when I can find one! Everything was repainted. Orange metalcast for tub and Pactra pearl white for body. It has a ESC with reverse, original 6 gear tranny running 16/81 tooth 48 pitch pinion and spur. Using a speed gems 2 green 15x4 motor with heat sink. Still have stock tires and some aftermarket ones for street. Put longer shocks on front for better handling of jumps. Also bought a Venom 6-cell NiMH 5000mah pack for it. Anyway, love the site and thanks for letting me post! Look forward to all the great info on here!

Looks nice, we'll see if you can stop at one RC10, haha

If you run on the street ocasionally, as I do, I recommend a front bumper like the RPM 70411. This will greatly reduce wear and tear on your front arms and nose plate.

Just my two cents. I ruined a couple nose plates before I learned.

Thanks badattitude and Thunderstrike1 for the welcome! And thanks badattitude for the link to the front bumper, cheap price for such valuable protection. Ill definitely have to get one! I have hit a curb or two in my days, lol! The RC10 is best by far to me! My first car was the hornet then a blackfoot truck back in 1985 I think it was. A friend and me went to this local park that had a track and everytime our hornet and frog hit a bump they would flip and roll all over the place. It just so happened on the day we were there some older guys were running their rc10's and we never seen them before! After seeing how smooth their cars were, gliding over bumps and jumps, I had to get one and I have had this one ever since! So glad I held on to it! Thanks again and look forward to running into you guys again on here!
