Starting my old is new build

Post by CoalTrain »

With the hype from all the J Harris' running old school buggies, I'm starting my what's old is new build with my original A stamp, beat to crap, gold tub. Here is a pic of where I am so far, all the aluminum will be powdercoated, not sure what color yet, probably black. I'm waiting on my rear hub bearing so I can get it running before I tear it down to make it
look all pretty and new(er). i'll post my progress here and then post it all in the "what's old is new" tech thread when I'm finished.

That's looking quite nice.

What is the block carrier/steering knuckle combo you are using?

#6221- Associated Steering blocks
#6210- Associated 30 degree carrier
#6220- Associated inline axle

I'm running B3/Evader front wheels so I didnt change to the Dynotech/GT front end.....Yet! The gold nose I have on there now is beat/bent and the other 2 I have are decent looking light gold ones. The truck nose plate is easier to find so I may change it up, I just have a hard time laying down over $20.00/shipped for a pair of a-arms.
