870c/yz10 arm question
870c/yz10 arm question
Can sombody tell me which lower control arms will fit the 90-91 us YZ10. I need to replace both fronts and one rear but I have not seen any of the arms I have on my car for sale on EBAY lately all I can find are YZWCS arms and they are different looking than mine. Do they mount the same and will I still be able to use the stock hubs?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: 870c/yz10 arm question
This car has been boxed up in my garage since 1991 and I am slowly getting parts together to put it together again.
The LCA's I finally found are white instead of the original black arms that came with the car and both front and rear have two holes for the hinge pin on the hub end. can anybody tell me if they came as a factorh piece or not and if so with which version of the YZ10 were they available

Re: 870c/yz10 arm question
hi joe, white arms are from very early 870c from what ive been told, arms with 2 hinge pin holes are for the front (which are shorter also) and the back have one hole. post some pics of your buggy when you get a chance

Re: 870c/yz10 arm question
The black set only had one hole in the rear arm but the wihte set in this pic has two holes for the outter hinge pin in both the front and the rear arms. The pic below is a side by side comparison of the arms. Will post pics of the car soon

Looking closer at the rear arms it appears that you are right sombody has cut them and added an extra hole. I had noticed that they had beveled the arms toward the inner hinge pin and wasnt sure why they added the third shock mount hole but I think someone was running them on the front. The front arms I recieved with this set looked brand new when I got them in.

Re: 870c/yz10 arm question
Hey Joe,
no, the YZWCS arms are of no use to you, and neither are the works '91 ones (unless you plan on replacing more than the arms only).
What's wrong with the white ones though? I can't tell from the pictures why you'd want to replce them.
If it's because you'd prefer black ones maybe we can trade: a set of your white front against a set of black front arms. yours look about as used as mine and I don't really like the the mix of black front white rears on mine currently

Re: 870c/yz10 arm question
I just got the white arms off EBAY from China...All i had left on the buggy before was one good black arm and one busted one. I gave the right side arms to a buddy of mine back in 1992 when he needed a couple for his YZ10. I had already quit running 4wds and moved on to the RC10 and 10L carpet cars...never thought i would put this thing back together...LOL
