Yeah no doubt! Something aircooled on the back would be very cool! 8)

had it out this weekend on a golf course. I swear here is no better place to run a fast offroad R/C car.

The short manicured grass & open smooth surfaces made for some great hi-speed action. The smooth but sudden swells made for some great jumping.

Watching it run at close to 50MPH (with the 3s Lipo) across the fairways was amazing-- suspension sucking up the bumps & landing smoothly. I was giddy.

Unfortunately I ate another diff gear halfway through the second battery (only got 5 runs out of it). Am I doing something wrong? It seems to me that I need to get a metal 2.25 diff gear or upgrade this thing to an all-metal 2.60 transmission. :?

If you find a metal 2,25 diff gear, do let me know
Never seen one my self
however
The RRP metal 2,6 diff and idler is on the top of my wish list

if I find a few, I'll let you know ;)

Seriously, they are rarer than hens teeth. I am wondering/hoping someone will reproduce them. I wonder how much trouble it would be to make one (I have a mill & metal lathe, but have never cut gears).

I have an all metal 2.60 setup, just don't want to cut the hole on the vintage CF chassis. If I have to go with it, I'll make a new CF chassis out of some 1/4" stock.

Speaking of CF-- the sheet of 3/16" came in yesterday. Gonna make a proper front shock tower out of it.

Morten-

It is a scrap plate form an aviation application. They sell it based on the un-drilled /useable portion.

How do you mill that fiberglass?

I think I found a solution to the 2.60 trans. Someone may already have mentioned it to me, but I found an RPM transmission case that allows for the 2.25 uppers & a 2.60 Diff gear. It gives a 2.65 ratio. It should arrive this week. Details to follow! (EDIT-- here's the PN & link: 2.65 Stealth Conversion for the Assoc. RC10T Part #: 80551)

In the meantime, I finally got the stickers in & the front tower fabbed & installed.

Looking good mate :D

I use a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade and hand files when I cut that G-10

Awesome build. Love to run that at the beach.

I cut fiberglass on a table saw with finish blade, rarely burns.

Thanks guys.

I've been using a metal cutting bandsaw & cleaning it up with a file.

The Bridgeport mill came in handy for milling out the inside hole of the shock tower.
