Re: schumacher factory
Nice article
Considering the range & relative worldwide popularity of Schumacher cars its amazing just how small the Schumacher factory is & how few people work there.... yet a large proportion of the parts are made in house. I've been round the factory a couple of times & it really is a facinating place.
Cecil has now retired, but I remember him talking to my dad (both slight-of-build moustache wearing gents) at a race meeting many years ago his outlook as a company owner was rather refreshing, he was saying that so long as the company provided a living for the few employees that work there & that they produced a product they were proud of, then that was all he could ask for. In this day & age of big profits, big aspirations & company directors 'creaming off' profits for there own pockets, Cecil's humble vision left quite an impression on me & probably secured the future of a company in a country where the manufacturing industry is almost extinct.
I still occationally see Cecil at our favourite drinking hole... when the local MG owners club have their meet-up

Re: schumacher factory
I'd love to see how the Schumacher factory compares to Associated, Traxxas & the Losi outfits, I'm guessing the Caddilac AE site was of a similar size before Thunder Tiger took over??
