Parts list for Losi Hydra-Drive? Update: Found 1 NIP!!!
I was wondering if anyone had a complete list of the parts (Part#'s would be awsome) that I would need to get the Hydra-drive on my RC10 stealth. MY LHS guy has a bunch of old losi parts. from what I saw he has: Spur gear, friction plate, casing, and the fluid. what else am I missing?
Also I've done verry little research on this whatsoever... I have no Idea how to assemble a hydra-drive. I decided to try this out after seeing how many hydra parts my LHS guy has. Are all hydra-drive parts the same? I.E. Casings? Or are there spacific ones that work with a stealth?

The difference is in the top shaft and gear cover only PN a-3101 (hydra unit) a-3130 (hydra internals) a-3122 (slipper gear plate) a-3140 (hydra shaft for stealth)

Re: Parts list for Losi Hydra-Drive?
First you will need a top shaft for the Stealth.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Associated-RC-10-HYDRA-DRIVE-TOP-SHAFT-ALL-STEALTH_W0QQitemZ200425971252
Here are all the Losi parts needed:
3132 slipper back plate
3123 slipper pad
3122 slipper front plate
6905 bearing
3130 case inserts
3119 hydradrive plastic parts
6224 plug screws
6225 case screws
3125 thrust bearing
3124 slipper spring
6306 adjust nut
3908 spur gear (just one of many available tooth count)
This is piece by piece. The rebuild kit has some of these parts massed together but not all of them.
If you give me your email I can shoot you the exploded view on PDF.

can you shoot me the exploded view too? or maybe put it in the scans archive? I have one assembled, but it would be good to have the instructions.

What I have is PDF. I need to find a good program to convert PDF to JPEG (free hopefully, one that does not leave watermarks all over it too.)jwscab wrote:can you shoot me the exploded view too? or maybe put it in the scans archive? Re: Parts list for Losi Hydra-Drive?
so it's the 'hard' way, but could you open the file, do a printscreen, copy into paint, then crop the image? I do that with circuit board layers to show the cad guys the changes I want to make.
or you can send me the file, and i can try it.
edit: I just tried it with a pdf i had here. it works ok, I tried to use a whole 8 1/2x11 picture, which is tough on my particular screen, so the resolution wasn't the best, bmp might be a better format to save.

Re: Parts list for Losi Hydra-Drive? Found 1 !!!
Thanks for all the help and quick responses but I don't think I'm going to have to piece one together any more
I stopped by my LHS and my guy said to me "HEY! I found something for you"
Walked to the back and came out with this,
A Losi Performance #A-3139 complete hydra-drive for stealth trans: Price tag said $49.98 but he gave it to me for 50% off. Bag is a bit beat up but it looks like everything is still in there. Best find I've had in a while! Any tips for assembly?

Re: Parts list for Losi Hydra-Drive? Update: Found 1 NIP!!!
The Local Hobby Shop is all over the place. Just gotta do your digging to find them. There are lots of mom&pops hobby shops out there that just move the 'old' stuff off the hooks into the back room so they can display the quicker moving stuff. Alot of these places have closed up but still have remaining stock in boxes or storage...can't wait to do some digging some day when I can get some time into it. 15 years ago there were at least 12 hobby shops that were within a 45 minute drive and they just retired or closed the doors when ebay and the internet took over...even the chain stores are droppin like flies around here locally for me. Hobbytown went down a year ago and it really helped out the LHS in my town. Find yourself an old phone book from around where you live and check it out. Maybe you can find some treasures like metallicats33 didburnsmonkey wrote:Thats what Im saying, where is this LHS everyone talks about??
