No emails

I'm not getting any emails telling me of a new thread or message..anybody else in the same boat?

Yup, started a couple of weeks ago... phpBB blows wet donkey balls.

...and has a lot of security holes. Though phpBB is free and given out to everybody with hosting so I guess you get what you pay for. Don't knock it.

Forum software like vBulletin or IPB is expensive and you have to pay another fee annually in order to get updates and what not. Maybe Bill can't afford it on account of the hosting costs or maybe hes just a fan of phpBB. Who am I to judge?

i was just made aware of the issue by al. it's the same thing that happened last year. bill fixed it, but i don't know what he did. so, until he checks in, we'll just have to deal with it.

Scr8p, mine are still going to the wrong email even though I changed those settings we talked about. To make matters worse, that email was compromised somehow and it seems that anyone that has had an email from that addy is now getting a message saying my father is in trouble please send money to help. My father is fine, he is sitting right next to me lol!

Now seeing this, I wonder if this problem has something to do with it? This is not good because we email back and forth with sponsors of mine and they are going to wonder WTF? My dad already had a call from a sponsor wondering if he is ok!

Anyone have any suggestions???

fastang, this problem only started yesterday. so, i don't know what it would have to do with the e-mail issues you've been having for awhile now. not saying they aren't related, but i don't see why they would be.

i just went into your "preferences" and changed the setting i told you to change.......... twice........ so your dad wouldn't receive any more e-mail notifications about pm's.

i still can't change your e-mail addy, though.

You know what, I changed it when we talked about it but I may not have hit submit, I can't remember .

Our problem happened yesterday too. I didn't explain it well, i'll try again.

An email got sent out yesterday from my dads account to all his contacts stating he was in trouble please send money. Needless to say he didn't send it! Also, somehow his email password got changed. We tried to change it back to something he would remember and it wouldn't let us. A message said the account was locked, try back tomorrow.

Im not blaming anyone! Its probably not but I wonder if its related.
