was I supposed to keep track of expenses?
For me, the biggest expense is getting the cars ready for the event. Tires, wheels, electrics, etc add up real fast. Hotel rooms can be had for $50ish/night.

honestly though, I would be interested in hearing what it cost some of you (sans purchases you guys made from me lol). I'm interested so that I can try and make it more reasonable for you all to come out. Now that I have a better meter of how many people come from out of state I was planning on working out a deal with that Holiday Inn Express for a group rate and also seeing if a local restraunt will "sponsor" the race by giving us a special deal on food or maybe setting up something for the weekend at the track.

$210 for a round trip ticket from Nashville, and about $200 for hotel and rental car. I split the hotel and rental with Brandon. Then figure another $100 for food, gas, beer (not that they make it easy to buy in CT), and sodas at the track. $35 for the entry fee.
I guess I spent about $550 not counting the $50 I dropped as soon as I walked into the hobby shop on parts I forgot to get before I left Nashville.

Yeah, about the same total for me as Mark. I spent a little more on parts and goodies than he did however.....
The new tweak station I picked up is pretty dam sweet though.

Re: Vintage Offroad's what did it cost you?
I drove from NH so it was about $40 for gas, $95 for three classes, $55 for one night at the Motel 6, $50 or so for food (no beer)... for a total of about $240. I'm not going to total the parts, tires, etc I bought prior to going as I would have purchased them all anyway-- except for the 17.5 BL motor that I picked up for $40 used, so I guess you could count that.
In broad terms, it was under $300 for a my two day trip to the '09 VONats.

Re: Vintage Offroad's what did it cost you?
'bout a thousand bucks...
this is all estimated besides the hotel room and speeding ticket.
fuel for 2k miles around 200 bucks, the hotel room was 400 for 5 days, 100 bucks at the track for entry fees, 8 aa batteries, and sodas, 50 or so bucks for food and smokes, at least 30 for car washes during the drive
, 125 for going 89 in a 65, and about 100 or so bucks for some crap i bought of erich. i didnt have to do alot to my cars since the last event other than buy some different rear wheels and tires and some ca glue.
also stayed at a hotel on the way up, i remember it being pretty pricey but tired enough to justify it. i remember thinking that at least i got a nice breakfast, which i then missed cause i didnt wake up to my alarm...
