Newer Stealth Trans in Older chassis?

Post by vtecboost »

Can I use a newer style stealth trans in the older rc10 chassis, (gold & graphite ) cars? What would be the difference as for as mounting?

I think you can only use the original Stealth in the original style chassis. You may have to drill 4 holes in the chassis if they're not there already. I don't think B2, B3 or B4 Stealths can be fitted into the original style chassis.

VTB,As Mel said the mounting holes need to be drilled to mount a stealth trans.maybe one of the others here has the template/ fixture Associated packaged along with the Stealth trans. You could make a template out of lexan. If you have a car that came with a stealth, just cut your lexan, lay it on the stealth chassis, copy the holes and drill your chassis, plug and play!! 8)
