Michael Schumacher according to the latest series of Top Gear that starts here this Sunday..the Stig takes his helmet off on stage to reveal Michael Schumacher....no wonder the stig was so good what a blast

I was just googling "the stig" and I found this name. Stig Lennart Blomqvist He's a former rally car driver. I wonder if he is the real stig and having michael on there was a teaze Sounds like a conspiracy to me.

Whoa. I can't believe it. My friends and I have had discussions about who it was but I always thought he was way too busy with formula to even think about topgear. By the way is huge over here also.

It would have been funny if they'd have put their fastest "Celebrity in a reasonably priced car" as the Stig! LOL

It's hard to take it as schumacher. I just don't see the time first of all. How could he do it. It's gotta be a hoax. How could schumacher do it for this long with all the publicity that he gets on a normal occasion. He couldn't stay hidden that long.

One other thing I thought of. Schumacher races ferrari which means it's probably in his contract NOT to race anything else. They raced a toyota fornula car last year. They would have had to of used someone else for that.

I would like to think that Schumacher could write his own ticket to anything, anywhere, for any amount of money. The first thing that comes to my mind, why would be choose TopGear? Not that it's a bad thing, just seems unlikely to me (or maybe cause it's not as big here in the states and I am totally wrong).

Actually topgear is pretty big. It's one of the highest rated shows in england. They started a new show in germany and they are coming to the states next year (that's the plan anyways). That's the info I can find when I google it anyway, And we know how that can go.

If it's the rendition with Adam Corolla, that plan was all but scrapped the last I read.

That's the basis of the conversation that we had on clodtalk. Corolla has been around race cars also. He is knowldegable but annoying. He has a couple vintage Datsun 510 race cars in his shop that are pretty nice. I still think Leno, Allen, and Tracy as hosts then Jimmy Spencer as stig.
