If anyone happens to have a 12x5 armature so i can put that back to how it should be, let me know. It currently had a random 17 single in it and that situation distressed me

Yep, and I was GUTTED. I think the bakerlite core had gone brittle. The moment the cutter touched, it went bang.

The label "special wind" seems nice and cryptic. Any ideas? Could that have been a sponsored racer's "secret" motor?

Hi all
I have just bought a pb mini mustang including original futaba speed controller, receiver etc and wanted to fit a demon motor.
I used Demon motors in the 80’s with a mini mustang. Would anyone here be willing to sell a good suitable demon motor for my mini mustang.
It’s a 4wd version.
Thanks Jason.

Hi all
Can anyone tell me if there were Demon motors sporting a black and white chequered flag sticker with Demon power and logo in what looks like pink more than red.
Not as I remember Demon motors but from what I can tell these were later models.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Jason.

One new addition. Interesting that a red label says gold on it .

I decided a Demon was the right motor for this buggy. I think it belongs in there.

This little demon is new to me and it needs a set of brushes, but they aren't laydown or stand-up brushes. They are square. I've never seen this type of brush before and don't know what to look for. Any thoughts? Just search by the width and height measurements?

I think I have a square brush source. The Helwig 370 brush (stocked at $4.64 each) is the right square dimensions. It's just too long. I could probably shorten and re-profile the face. Helwig has confirmed the shunt is only in the last 0.125" of the length, so that works out even after shortening.

I used a set of Helwig 531 brushes. I shortened them approx 30% and rough profiled the faces with a brush grinder. The brushes need breaking in, but the motor now runs!
