Re: GOT ME A TRAXXAS WILDCAT
well lucky for me that traxxas used the very same parts off the tamiya hotshot. so the orginal hotshot propeller shaft and out drives worked/fit perfect! since this car had one orginal out drive and was the same in every way to the tamiya part.

Re: GOT ME A TRAXXAS WILDCAT
well it looks like a car again all done. well car cost me $85 plus anther $85 in parts: propeller shaft, 1 outdrive for the propeller shaft, tires x4, shocks x6, rear shock tower free made by me
, rear spoiler sticker. so total $170 is ok i guess. parts always seam to cost more than they should

Re: GOT ME A TRAXXAS WILDCAT
That really reminds me of The Fox...from the body & yellow plastics right down to the odd-looking undersized wing. What is that second pair of yellow things behind the rear control arms? Kind of looks like an extra set of dampers...If so, I find it strange they doubled up there but skimped out on the front, going with a mono-shock.

Re: GOT ME A TRAXXAS WILDCAT
if u look on the box the car has 2 sets (4 total) rear shocks 2 with springs 2 without. going to leave the single front shock. have nothing to go off of to remake the front shock towers.Coelacanth wrote:That really reminds me of The Fox...from the body & yellow plastics right down to the odd-looking undersized wing. Re: GOT ME A TRAXXAS WILDCAT
didn't Daniel have a drawing of the front and rear shocktowers at the traxxas forums in one of his threads? Might've just been the rears but was thinkin he did fronts also...

Re: GOT ME A TRAXXAS WILDCAT
Interesting! Those look like the same adjustable friction shocks that are used on the Traxxas "The Cat". Probably not the best choice if you were going to run that car.
On the other hand it's a very unique project and looks like you had some fun with it, which is what it's all about!

Re: GOT ME A TRAXXAS WILDCAT
the real shocks are white, but he used yellow ones to match the box. Same shock, different color
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas
