Well, I want to go every year. Whether or not i'm able to is a different story.

But my plan is to run this in the 2wd class at the vonats. Losi x-patterns and all. That's why i'm not worried about the scratches I left in the tub. The bottom of the arms are a lot worse.

It sure is one way to show off the white arms. You'll probably be the only one, and if not, yours will be the coolest 8)

Lots of drivers used the stock bellcranks. They were readily available, fit perfectly, are lightweight, and the minor amount of play probably didn't hurt much on a looser track surface. If you notice, Cliff trimmed the parts on his car for a little more steering throw and to be able to mount the servo further forward, and only used one zip tie to stiffen up the servo saver action.

I don't know how much 'keeping it in the family' had to do with drivers using the stock items, as racers will use whatever parts they think will give them an edge, including Losi tires and Hyrdradrives, MIP CVD's, etc.

This thread is super rad. :D :D :D I only have 4 RC Car actions from back in the day, and this magazine is in that collection. Thanks for bringing the pages of this magazine to life. The build is awesome! Cant wait to see the final product. :D

Yeah right.

I hit a road block with this, and it's mainly because of how beat the car was that I started with. The plastics are just not cutting it. I'll probably just keep an eye out for a clean team or ce roller to use as a parts car.

They come around every now then. I took the HT rib fronts I had set aside for this to put on my Reelfs replica, but I think those are easier to find.
