I ordered Cal´s Universal Reel & Star Drag Grease and it arrived today from a tackle shop in Stockholm together with a “sponsor” cap…

I opened it and that wasn’t a nice sight, it reminded me when the child’s was 2-3 months old and it was my turn to change diapers…

Field test will sow if this is the right way to go.

Lars, so you've been running the Thorp right? What grease did you use and how does it look now (post vonats?). Is the brass still decent?

Sorry for my late reply Brian, I have been out hunting moose the past 10 days at my cousin’s place

My VONats Tomahawk R came in the way for this project… I did use Cal’s grease on the Thorp and it work rely well in my VONats Tomahawk R. And no damage on the brass or the steel.
