Coelacanth wrote:The fabled 2WD Optima has arrived! Very nice job on that body...is that a wing wire you added to the shock tower? Interesting idea. I've always thought the original Optima body was one of the nicest designs ever made. You gotta love the little details like the roof scoop, body scallops, hood snorkels, vent depressions by the rear shocks, louvers on the rear surface...all those details make it such an interesting body to look at and tricky to paint. 8)
Hi Coelacanth,
ya,it is a wire that I added to the rear shock tower because I don't want to cut a hole on the Optima body~ thanks you like this painting~

I see you like Tanaka-san's paintscheme
I'm sure he wouldn't mind since it's nicely executed.

Which shocks are that? Lohas?

I wish I could paint like that, nice job. So, it is a Hot Trick Red Ultima replica (Lohas) with an Optima body on it. They look nice together, thanks for the pics of the progress.

Hey there Jackultima, I'm buying an Ultima Pro but the top radio plate is broken at the front. Are you able to make another replacement?
