Hey Darryn, thanks for the St Ives info. The history, track style, and the videos/pictures, including yours, I've seen are most excellent. If I'm ever able to make it over there I would love to check it out. What are the rules on getting a chance to race and/or run a little on it? (Radio considerations, frequencies? 2.4GHz/Spektrum?)
And can you provide an address that would work with Google Maps or similar? I'm addicted to the satellite feature to look around.
Cheers and Thank You.

Re: OFF ROAD VINTAGE MEETING - AUSTRALIA 13th JULY 2008....
The track is open to the public all week long. There are no big locked fences to be concerned with here and you can drive your car right up to track perimiter fence. They even have 240volt mains power accessible to all. It really is a very special kinda place with heaps of shade over the track thanks to all the trees. Club meetings are said to be quite casual and from what ive heard they'll run a vintage class if people show up.

Here's St Ives track on Google
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&ll=-33.706449,151.186865&spn=0.000606,0.001003&t=h&z=20&iwloc=addr
Being in the middle of the bush probably helped save it so far.. I'm surprised Ryde haven't been moved out by developers!
Here's the Ryde track on google too http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&ll=-33.795699,151.135577&spn=0.000605,0.001003&t=h&z=20&iwloc=addr
The only USA frequency you can use here is 27MHz, or 2.4GHz is fine too.

Thanks for the info, it is much appreciated.
In my job I do some business with Holden. I just gotta figure out some scam that would justify a little customer visit. You know, with a big box of “samples” rush shipped along.
If I can work it out, any of you guys that are in the area would be more than welcome to enjoy a nice meal with beverages on me.
Cheers!
