Made some updates to my original Ten4 project. Jeff helped with the conversion to use original tires. Added Factory works motor and using the cc chassis parts and screws. I installed Dhawk 3 piece wheels. Mostly silver and black with some gold. I havenโ€™t finished tweaking the colors.

Several have asked about white parts. They are not as strong as the new pa12 black pieces, but it seems several are building cars for the shelf so I ordered in some white sla parts. I also added the front CVDs for short arm builds however they haven't arrived yet. The new platform won't require anything but the CVDs to use narrow arms now.

Still trying to get a checklist and instructions written up, but not getting far as I keep getting crazy orders that are consuming my time. Hopefully by next week we will have some documentation.

How much wider is the wide arm front end compared to the rear? Is the short arm setup more aligned with the rear width?

I should clarify, when I say long arm I mean production long arms- the CE/Team/world's arms. Not RPM Worlds arms.

Using the same generic 4wd wheels here are my measurements

Short arm car
Front 240mm
Rear 250mm

Long arm car
Front 255mm
Rear 250mm

Generic from Amazon, says fitment is Redcat, HSP, HPI, etc. Can't beat the price

This may be a dumb and silly question but would any of this work with the DS? I just had a silly idea of making a 4wd touring car out of a car that existed before touring cars became a thing. Obviously different cvds would be needed.

I'm planning a few of these, with one possibly a DS (or a 10T) because that would be cool. ๐Ÿ˜ I expect to have to do a little extra effort to make either work.

DS has the same problem as the trucks, just no room up front for a diff. Tried this back in the day, and might try to relive it again but there just wasn't room.

Sounds like a challenge to build up a buggy to OG truck conversion if I ever heard one
