It started innocent enough, then just snowballed into a mega build. Alot of this was somebody elses project collection, and some VERY nice parts from that, most of 2 complete cars. The rest were bashed up old racers that were broken or messed up in some way, put away for years, with hardened grease and RUST on everything.
What impressed me about this simple design is how rugged it is. Even the worst broken donor car could have been race worthy again by replacing a couple parts, and getting cleaned up. The drive trains all intact, diffs good enough. Mainly the problems on the busted up cars was broken front arms, bent Uj dogbones, dried up shocks, broken back bone stiffener thing. Couple of bent hinge pins, a bent shock, broken knuckles.
in comparison, many of the opt mids I got for the mega build were worn out internally, and broken externally. Every one of my mids needed new drive train gears.
I cant wait to run one of the yokomos!

It's an expensive addiction (I have ten YZ10s in total), but it beats being a crack addict.

Im working on the "for sale" build right now. Ittl be stock appearance, stock shocks, and,, Im hoping to run it briefly to make sure its good to pass on to the next addict.
Some liberties taken in the hardware department. Actually the zx5 ball cups are fantastic. I like the way they fit, and work.
So close

All thats left is to tidy up the wiring, secure rx, trim the body to fit, mount a wing,,,,I think thats it. Then its a RUNNER!

Thanks very much. Im not the artist of the shell, but it came to me in really good shape. Matching wing too. Ive cleaned it up, and getting ready to apply some stickers to cover up some holes. The car itself has turned out really clean, especially considering the way Yokomo mixed hardware types. It will run today!
Ok, I think this ones done. Im still cycling the batteries before running.
Got at least 2 more to go.
