GT front axles vs standard axles - improved performance?

I think with the short arms though...the "downside" to the longer axel is overshadowed by the additional width and stability of them.

What ever happened with the other car you built?

The Worldinger? It's held back by CVD issue I still need to properly solve. The cuttinga and sleaving thing works ok, but the ones I made are too out of true. They wobble too much and it annoyed me. The electronics are in a B4 now.

I just bought a couple XX4's too now. So I'm doomed .

Are there similar handling issues with the other methods for using B4 front wheels? i.e. B4 caster blocks, or extended arms (Jake's arms).

Not in my opinion- the proportions are equal to or closer to the parts that they were designed for.

That's what I thought (I still want to try that).

If guys don't notice a performance difference with the B4 front wheels and the GT axels, that's cool. I personally noticed a much more aggressive turn-in but a very dull car from the center of the corner out. Some guys don't understand that concept, which is also cool...not everyone is as nerdy as me but I've attributed it to the change in ride height increasing on the steer side (because of the increased axel length) and the decrease on ride height on the outside for the same reason. But again...I may just be too detail oriented.

If your happy with your car, cool! Run it and have fun! (Yours is my favorite runner here)

Oh, and I got 6 gears too - my whole tranny is a diff, which can't be set all that loose or it becomes a slipper - so agression on turn in is fine with me.

Hey Al, ask Reggie to measure the front CVD shaft on a B44 for you(I know he had them, because I traded a set to him a while back). You'd have to use B44 rear axles for the length, but the b44 bones are longer than B4 bones, and shorter than 10T bones, they might fit the bill for your worldinger.

Yeah and the Custome Works wide one is 79 too. Been up and down that road. I needed something around 74 if I remember, and I stopped short of getting into those "little pinned" Yokomo options that are in that ball park. I'll get back into it some day,

doesn't MIP make custom bone lengths? i thought they did anyway....
