1978 (I was 20).
"Skateboard: The Movie."
Starring a very young Leif Garrett.
Dr. John performed a song called "Sweet Rider" that has been stuck in my head all these years.
I was hot for the action
Keepin' close to the ground
Flyin' through the cold dark night
At the speed of sound
I think this is gonna be my new RC theme song . . .
(If I can ever find a really good version of it, I don't think it was ever released outside the movie.)
Oh, and congrats jayman24 on your win!!!

Re: I got my first win!
Skateboard is the best skate movie ever made, imo. Love that movie.

Re: I got my first win!
Great movies. Great, well, good music. And skating and BMX!!!
I jumped on my board two years ago at a local skate park after not skating for about 15 years, and after every kid at the place was finished laughing, i dropped into the bowl, and still able to pull some some air. Then I busted my ass...

Gleaming the cube is a classic! I have 3" scar on my right hand from skitchin' like that on an old hosoi!

I had a Hobie.
I had a Nash, my first board. Had to be back in 1981 or 82'.
Now I have a 42" sector 9. And if I continue to buy rc10's like this, it's going to be my only means of transportation
