Here are a few close-ups of the mount. The flash picked up metal flakes that you cannot see with the naked eye. That's what teh dusty looking stuff is.

thats a pretty good look. Thanx for the pix. Helped explain some things. Was wonderin if you got lucky enuf to bolt the back of the mount to the tranny but it looks like it didn't quite line up enuf. Have you had any radio interference with your metal to metal spur? I've run a set of the matched RR spur/cb combos on one of my gts for years without any problems but it seems like when I tell someone that they try it and run into a wall...of course its usually my fault since I said it wouldn't interfere .

Klavy, One time I got a glitch and I assumed it was the mamba radio wire running over top of the motor. It could very well be the metal gears. It worried me, but was luckily a one time problem. It didn't cause any problem, but just kinda shifted the truck when I was driving down the road. I may switch to 48, but I hate to give up the steel spur. It's a little loud with the metal gears which I could do without. I've been thinking of slipping something under the motor for extra support. I figured on a piece of lexan with servo tape, but I'm open to suggestions. I just got my 6000mah 3s and plan on a video in the near future. I expect 80+ with a gearing change. I'm really not that into hi-speed, but I need to give it at least one try.

I love my steels too. But its kinda hard to hear how loud they are over the pipe ...only ran them on nitros. At least if you do have problems the parts are gonna be easy to find. Keep us posted on your highspeed run.

i'd just squirt some rtv under there.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, what is rtv? Luckily, sounding like an idiot comes natural to me.

Its a gasket type sealer/adhesive you find in automotive applications.

Your not alone there thumber...got done with a conversation earlier tonight with someone apparantly I knew from my past...in the end the wife asked why I didn't introduce her and had to explain to her I had no idea who he was

I am looking for body ideas and schemes if anyone has any ideas. I'm thinking maybe Late 70's early 80's Bronco or something. I'm open. I've been running the 3s and Mamba Max 5700 and it's out of control powerful. Been too cold to get out and do a serious speed run, but I'm guessing 90 MPH seriously. It flips right on it's back if traction is there. I wanted to go big with the tires and wheels for a change of pace. It has plenty of power to pull them. I need to go get a pinion gear at lunch though. I put it next to a standard 1/10 stadium truck for scale.

Slow down with the ideas people, I'm trying to write them down!! Well, it looks like my 3 year old daughter's idea is number one with a bullet. She wants it to be a pink Jeep with purple flowers like her Power Wheels Jeep. Off to the paint shop...

Well, this is how I painted my GTE (set up for dirt oval.)

Nice setup. Do people race a lot of them? I'm curious how they run against other electric trucks. I'm just gonna take this to the lhs and pick an SUV shell. Hopefully they have a late 70's or early 80's of some sort. Can you re-dye the wheels? That color is not what I thought it would be. They were supposed to be more neon to match another body I have. For one, it was not neon green to begin with and I also left them in too long. I knew it was going to be wrong and did it anyway. I thought about going cammo or something on the shell and leaving them the way they are, but that's really not what I was looking to do.

This Parma Hummer is nice.

I saw that and I like a lot of the bodies that came out for the T-Maxx, but I wonder about the fit. I know technically it's 1/10th scale, but they seem pretty big. Do you know if they fit. I'm going to the shop tomorrow so I was gonna try one on. The biggest issue with putting a non racing truck body on it will be the gap between the chassis and the bottom of the shell. With a plate chassis it may look odd. Hopefully not 'cause I really want to get something different.

Anything other than a GT specific body will have to be test fitted.
