Looks like it's the car known as a MR4-BCS ("Special") which was sold in the UK from 2003 onward......?

Cool! The Mx-4 's with the mid-motor cofiguration are the first I see.
Which shock towers came with that YMP kit? I see yours both have the molded rear tower, but one has a molded front tower and the other not. And which were the standard shocks: it looks like the first car has the black plastic shocks of the first MR-4bc

the YMP mid motor MX4 was a conversion kit only........not a complete car ...........while the kit content was shown in the first photo .........the demo car was in the second photo.....
as far as I remember........at that time..........totally 200 sets were made & available in Japan only ...........(I got two YMP mid motor MX4 now...........that means I owned 1/100 of their whole productions).........

actually you can use any shocks & shock towers you like (because they were not included in the kit) ............
The YMP MX4 photos were copied from the yahoo.jp auction ...........I need some time to get them fully hop-upped........& change all the rubbish plastic shocks to Yokomo/ Associated ones........

stay tuned......
BTW, you can see the MR4-BX looks alike this YMP.........
