I can't see the pic either, but I was told of the possible dates..... right now my wife wants to go on vacation that week, but it would much further South then the general location. We'll see what happens.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: Worlds biggest Vintage-meeting!
Well I had a venue and date set... until last week when the shop closed but I'm hoping to keep it within CT. My thinking is that a lot of us are within a few hours (NYC is only an hour and a half from the place i'm looking at now which is in central CT). There are lots of us from PA, NY, NJ, NH, OH but i'm looking for a track thats willing to cater to us as far as smaller jumps (no broken toys) and has a hotel accessible. I've got some manf support to back the race and will certainly have plenty of door prizes (lets just say I know some people that know some people). Race is going to be covered in RC Driver and I'm hoping Xtreme RC Cars as well (Daryn... feel like flying here from Austrailia to cover a race ).
As for classes its going to be 2wd, 4wd, Heavy Metal (good ol fashion monster trucks), Stadium Truck and Classic (classic will be reserved for Tamiya, Mauri, and other non-pro kits) and all cars will be capped to pre 1994 production dates. I'm also working on a couple BIG suprises so keep checking back for more... I'll post an official thread once everything is solid.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to PM or email me at [email protected]. At this point I'm aiming for the weekend of Sept. 5-7.
More details to come!

Re: Worlds biggest Vintage-meeting!
What happened to the California meet idea? Is it a possibility for any of you on the east coast? After all California has both AE Headquarters and the previous owners of Associated. MIP, RPM, and few other are close by too.
Speaking of AE someone over there must have gotten some vintage enthusiasm. I visited a few months ago and all they had represented were Thunder Tiger / New AE products inside the glass cases. Well I visited this past Weds and they now have a 12e or l(not sure), an RC10ds, and an RC10 gold pan. They are all nice examples of AE's past product.

I don't care if it is East Coast or West Coast or the friggin Middle of Nowhere. As long as I can raise the funds, I am in! (And represent the European side of Magazine things ... )

Re: Worlds biggest Vintage-meeting!
Why not one East coast and west coast vintage showdown? Man that would be cool if it could ever become an annual thing. Reedy race style racing too, no quals, just multiple mains where your starting position is random and every race counts.
Old school racing all the way!

Ohio is central to everywhere, and has a nice indoor track that has remained in operation since the late 1980's...

I love watching the lawn mower races. Those freaking things fly. And if you roll one, your hurt.
