It took a long time for the bulkhead to travel from USA to France, but finally, it's here and rebuilding is on its way.
My car is a little heretic, given that I put a Corally 12*1 motor bought from a guy in my club. I hope it will not shock Asso fanatics. It will run with 4 cells NiMh batteries.
Dude that thing is like a time capsule. Glad you found it after nearly 30 years. Id say run it, but with mjdern electronics. Just for the ease of use and longer run times.

I like how you used modern style bullet connectors on your saddle packs. The end result is much cleaner.
BITD a lot of the pan car guys used bullet connectors on their saddle packs
What I mostly remember was people either soldering them in or using the modular Anderson (Litespeed) style connectors.
Unless you are referring to a different type, I don't even remember anything like the modern heavy duty bullets being available then. You used Dean's, Litespeed, or soldered directly.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

I remember the pan car guys with the really expensive matched cells having a gold plated barrel soldered to the battery terminals and then bullet ends on their wires. The cells packed away nice and neat in their cases with the wires removed.

I came across this Corally SP12m (because this thread is creating the itch to get an RC12) and noticed the ESC power leads had the bullet connectors that I remember seeing. No idea who used to make those connectors.
