oh ya. i never had a problem with renewing my subscription with them at that price. until the only thing they gave a rats ass about was touring cars and friggin t-maxxes.
i had a subcription with them for 14 years. i had every single isssue from oct '90 to oct '04, and i tossed every one of them in a dumpster. at that time, i was still living in apartments and got sick of moving them everytime we moved. and, i wasn't into "collecting" vintage cars. i just had my old race stuff. but, i wish i still had those mags now. they would come in handy.

oh, don't even get me started on that one. (you did)
Can you imagine if we still had all the cars we ever had (I know my wife is glad she can't).
But then what would be there for all the "new" vintage collectors to scoop up?

nothing, which means i'd have a lot more room in my basement, and a lot more money in the bank.

gpster wrote:Guys,
Just logged in and found out that they do have every magazine, page for page available in downloadable .pdf format.
To me this is great, since the last time I moved, someone stole a couple of boxes from my driveway and in those boxes were every mag from 87 on (a few missing while I was in college). Bet that person was either really excited, or really pissed off for having carried those freaking heavy boxes and only got toy car magazines.
That is awesome. I emailed them to ask this very question as I did not want to pay to see only select articles, but also the ads and such. I never heard back from them. I'll be signing up soon.

UPDATE
After flipping/clicking through all of 86, 87, 88, 89, and some of 90, I have now realized that the blank or missing pages I kept running across in the magazine were actually advertisements that had been removed. I can reasonably assume that these are all the big name (asso, tamiya, kyosho, etc) manufacturers ad's as I haven't seen one yet, and there a ton of the smaller guys (buds, crp, hot trick) ads are still there.
If you are planning on signing up only to get access to all the great vintage ads, be advised, they are not there (at least in the years I have seen so far)
I am sure they didn't want everybody stripping them out and sellng them themselves.

I signed up to this yesterday, but I'm not impressed to be honest. The site seems very buggy - only giving me access to certain parts of the 'members only' content..
Maybe it is because I'm using a Mac, but it doesn't seem great. I can download the old issues though, but i have troubles with the current and recent issues.

The only thing I really cared about was the old issues. The rest of the stuff is not appealing enough to take my time.
I am working on downloading all the issues. I dont want to lose out on the opportunity if they decide it wasn't a good idea and take it off. I lost 16 years of issues when some idiot stole the boxes off my driveway while I was moving in.
As is consisitent with RCCA (especially of late) there a bunch of typos and mis linked items. Other than that haven't noticed any other issues (I am on a pc)
